To celebrate the finale of one of the best shows on primetime television I have put together a list of 7 things you can do with your Thursday nights now that Scandal is (sadly) over.

Watch Scandal on Netflix

Fall in love with Olivia Pope, her coats, and the Gladiators all over again. Netflix has all of the seasons except 7 currently available on their site. But don’t worry by the time you binge watch through the seasons I’m sure 7 will be available. I haven’t heard anything as of yet but I’m sure they’ll be uploading them soon. You can also rewatch season 7 on Hulu.

Attend a Wine Tasting

Our girl Liv loves herself some red wine. Celebrate that love of red wine by attending a wine tasting. Wine-O, a black female owned wine shop in Bed Stuy Brooklyn hosts weekly tastings. If you’re not in Brooklyn contact your local wine shop and find out if they’ll be hosting any tastings and what types of wines will be on the menu. If they don’t host any organize your own and invite your girls to join you. You can do it at home or at a wine shop.

Read a New Book

Pick up a copy of Good Self, Bad Self: How to Bounce Back from a Personal Crisis by Judy Smith. If you didn’t already know Judy is the real-life Olivia Pope and the inspiration behind Scandal. She is an attorney, producer, and author. In her book, Judy helps you live with and overcome personal crises, as well as learning how to face personal fears before they send you over a cliff.

Jam Making Class

Liv and Fitz talked about what it would be like to live peacefully in the living the country making jam. Since running off to the country might not be an option for you right now how about you settle for a jam making class. A simple Google search will help you find a class nearby. Or if you’d rather chill at home you can use Google to find DIY jam making recipes.

Watch Shonda Rhimes new show

Now we know out girl Shonda wasn’t gonna leave us with an empty time slot. She’s already filled it with Station 19. It’s about heroic firefighters at Seattle Fire Station 19—from captain to newest recruit—risk their lives and hearts both in the line of duty and off the clock. These brave men and women are like family, literally and figuratively, and together they put their own lives in jeopardy as first responders to save the lives of others.

Now, these next two are gonna take more than just a day which is why long weekends exist and at times are necessary.

Visit Vermont – #TeamFitz

Vermont, located in New England, is known for is beautiful fall leaves, skiing, and its small quaint villages. It’s the ultimate outdoors destination. You can go alone, with your partner or with the whole family as there’s something to do for everyone. Check out Visit Vermont to learn more about different areas and what makes them popular,  as well as places to stay and eat.

Visit the Beach – #TeamJake

If the country isn’t for you then maybe a white sandy beach is more your speed. Instead of hiking in the woods you rather layout and rub the sand between your toes while you sip exotic cocktails with colorful umbrellas. Remember though, travel doesn’t have to be expensive. Use Groupon to find quick and affordable getaways that can last from an overnight stay at a local hotel to a 10-day vacation around the world.

How do you plan on spending Thursday nights now that Scandal is over?
