My son, like a lot of children have extremely sensitive skin, on top of his eczema. There are very few things that I can put on his skin that does not cause a rash outbreak, actually he can only use 1 product. That is, until I started using ACURE Baby Care. I discovered this brand by way of invitation to an exclusive event, and the words that caught my attention was how the brand was organically made in addition to being free from animal testing and artificial coloring. I knew I had to attend so that I could learn more about this product, and see if it could be a turning point to help and keep my sons flare-ups under control.
So let’s answer the first question, what is ACURE?
ACURE Organics is a family owned and operated company founded on sustainable principles to provide the highest quality fair trade, natural and certified organic personal care products. Our products are created with great care and are a reflection of our values. Each of their products in addition to being free from animal testing and artificial color are also free of parabens, sulfates, phthalates, synthetic fragrances and harmful preservatives. They traveled far and wide to find the most potent certified organic ingredients that meet their high standards of efficacy and purity.
At the event we learned all about their mission which is all about driving real results through targeted plant and food-based ingredients. They believe our skin is our largest organ and greatest ally for whole body health. Feeding it as properly as you would feed your body internally is the only way to optimize its function.
And to make belivers out of us, not that we needed much prodding. ACURE gave us full size samples to take home and try on our little ones. I was excited to get home and give it a go on Jeff.
The first product I tried was the 4-in-1 soap.
What I loved about this soap was it could be used four different ways, hence the name. It can serve as a hand wash, shampoo, bubble bath or body wash. Jeff likes to take bubble baths so I put about 6 pumps into his warm bath and gave the water a swirl. It produced a nice amount of bubbles for him to play with. The scent was nice and light but not overpowering. After Jeff played a little longer in his bath than I usually allow him to (long baths dry out his skin) I patted him dry and moved on to his problem area, his dry skin.
Immediately, following being dried off I applied the vanilla & citrus lotion to his skin. It smells amazing! I wanted to keep it for myself truthfully.
I didn’t need that much of it as it had enough consistency to cover both his legs liberally with a quarter and a half size squeeze. This was going to be an active day so it would be great to see if it would hold up all day long.
And guess what? It did.
I stopped a number of times to feel if the lotion had been sucked into his skin to the point where I would need to reapply. Never happened. I found that his legs were smoother and there was no signs of rash, dry patches or eczema.
And speaking of being out and about all day long, another product they gave us to try was the box of three ‘baby’s day out‘.
This is going to be my (and your) go-to this summer with the kids. From this tiny box you can soothe boo boo’s with the fix-it stick, prevent sunburn with the spf and keep the mosquitoes away with bug spray. And let’s talk about how small they are. They’re so small that the entire box of three could fit into your tiniest of purses.
And lastly, there was the baby balm.
This is the stuff that dreams are made of. This is can be used by anyone in the family who suffers from dry, cracked and/or irritated skin. I will be honest and say that I didn’t use this one on the kids, I used it on me. You see, the skin around my ankle area gets pretty dry so I applied the balm to keep the skin from getting dry after my shower. Again, all you need a small amount. Acure makes it so that you don’t need that much product to make a difference in your skin. And what a difference a day made. The area around my skin while still somewhat dry, it doesn’t have that dry feel or look to it. I know with more applications this area, by summertime will be smooth and ready to be seen.
Overall, I am really happy with the products that I received and how well they worked on my family, especially my son. It’s been almost a week without any skin issues, which is really great. And if you think they only make products for baby’s, then you’d be very wrong. There are plenty if products for adults as well. Thank you ACURE and Momtrends for inviting me to this great event!
